Semmes is proud to announce that Associate Lee Carpenter has been chosen to teach Estates & Trusts at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law this fall. As an Adjunct Professor, Mr. Carpenter will draw on more than a decade of experience in the discipline. He is a member of the Estates & Trusts practice group at Semmes, where his work includes a special emphasis on the unique needs of same-sex couples and other members of the LGBT community.
Mr. Carpenter is an alumnus of the School of Law, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Business & Technology Law. He was named the Dean’s Fellow upon graduation. He is a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council and is a frequent author and lecturer on estate planning and LGBT law.
