Former Semmes Attorney Authors Third Book
Long-time Semmes attorney Stan M. Haynes, who retired from practice earlier this year after 38 years, recently published his third book And Tyler No More, a work of historical fiction about a plot to assassinate President John Tyler in 1844. Below is a brief description of the novel:
Filled with the political intrigue of the 1840s and interaction with historical figures, along with a national tragedy and a mysterious death, And Tyler No More explores the battle between morality and legality, between loyalty and betrayal, and confirms that dysfunction in Washington is not a modern American phenomenon.
Stan began practicing at Semmes in 1983 and served on the firm’s Management Committee, as Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, and as Vice-Chairman of the firm. He also was a member the Board of Directors of the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) and served as its president in 2005.
And Tyler No More is available on Amazon in both print and e-book formats. For more information about Stan, visit http://www.stanhaynes.com.
