Experience
Jillian M. Petrella is a counsel in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability practice. She represents employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She has defended claims before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission, on appeal in circuit courts throughout the State of Maryland, and at all levels of workers’ compensation litigation in D.C., including oral argument before the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Jillian graduated from William Smith College with a degree in Sociology and from Tulane Law School with her J.D. prior to joining Semmes, Jillian represented whistleblowers in federal and state qui tam actions and represented claimants in workers’ compensation claims in D.C.
