Carlos Nieto is an associate in the Firm’s Workers’ Compensation & Employers’ Liability Practice. His practice focuses on representing employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers’ compensation claims before the Workers’ Compensation Commission and on appeal in courts throughout Maryland.
Mr. Nieto graduated from the University of Florida in 2009 where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Thereafter, he attended Florida State University College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2012. Prior to joining Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, Mr. Nieto represented plaintiffs in automotive tort cases and claimants before the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
He was selected as a 2019 Maryland “Rising Star” by Baltimore Magazine and Maryland Super Lawyers Magazine.
Mr. Nieto is fluent in Spanish.
